Have you thought about booking into Bed and Breakfast for a specific
activity?
Have you considered getting a group of friends together to participate
in an Art workshop?
Here, at Carr Edge, we offer the use of our Bed & Breakfast facility and
the chance for you to explore your ideas with our local artist.
Jane
Veitch (www.janeveitch.com)
is a full time artist living and working in Newbrough. Her inspiration
comes from the natural world and in particular, the northern landscape.
Her work can be seen in a number of galleries in the North East and further
afield and her studio is always open by appointment (tel: 01434 674268).
Visitors are made very welcome. Jane is an experienced tutor and enjoys
nurturing and developing the creative aspirations of a wide variety of
people. She gently encourages people towards their own discoveries through
experimentation and discussion.
Creative workshops allow you to get in touch with your inner artist (don't
worry if that inner artist has been in hiding for a very long time!).
By using experimental media such as collage, or paint applied with rags
and cardboard, you are able to tackle creative problems like colour, texture
and composition straight away. You need not have a lot of technical skills
already at your command. These days are always fun, always messy, and
the results are usually gratifying and surprising.
The workshops are run on 2 or 3 mid weekdays. Your Bed and Breakfast
package will also include a light lunch. Workshops are conducted in the
upstairs lounge area.
For dates available for Art Workshops contact either Sandie
Gibson or Jane
Veitch.
