Have you thought about booking into self-catering for a specific activity?

Have you considered getting a group of friends together to participate in an Art workshop?

Jane Veitch (www.janeveitch.com) is a full time artist living and working in Newbrough. Her inspiration comes from the natural world and in particular, the northern landscape. Her work can be seen in a number of galleries in the North East and further afield and her studio is always open by appointment (tel: 01434 674268). Visitors are made very welcome. Jane is an experienced tutor and enjoys nurturing and developing the creative aspirations of a wide variety of people. She gently encourages people towards their own discoveries through experimentation and discussion.

Jane Veitch runs a number of very successful art workshops locally, including ‘An Approach to Painting the Northumberland Landscape’, held at the Vindolanda Roman site, and a number of Life Drawing events held at Newbrough Town Hall.

She is very happy to tailor a workshop for a particular group and can offer a variety of possibilities including:

  • Observational Drawing and Painting
  • Painting with Paper (using collage techniques)
  • Expressive Paint (learn to loosen up and use rags sticks and other unconventional implements)
  • Creative Landscape (using your own source material, such as sketchbooks and photographs)
